Sail on a cruise from Vancouver to the Hawaiian Islands

Vancouverites who want to visit the Hawaiian Islands without boarding a plane have a few chic alternatives this year.

Several cruises depart from Canada Place and visit the islands on 11-day itineraries before disembarking in Honolulu. However, these cruises require a one-way ticket to Vancouver.

For locals looking to avoid a return flight from Aloha State, Holland America offers a few round trips from Vancouver in the spring and fall. Currently, the cheapest option departs October 2 in the evening for a 16-day “Circle Hawaii Tour.”

The cruise spends a few days at sea before stopping for the first time in Lahaina on October 14, then in Hilo on October 15. From October 16 to 17, the ship spent the night in Honolulu. After calling at Nawiliwili on October 18, the cruise will disembark in Vancouver on October 24.

The total cost of the cruise is $4,485.CAD 02 including all taxes and fees, or CAD $2,242.50 per person. The cost per person breaks down to just over $140 CAD per day. While flights to Hawaii typically cost upwards of CAD$500, accommodations in the Aloha State often cost hundreds of dollars per day. Plus, food and entertainment can cost a pretty penny in many of its popular cities.

On the other hand, the cost of the cruise includes your transportation on a magnificent five-star ship, premium meals, entertainment, snacks, and accommodation. The only thing it does not take into account is alcohol, but you can choose to buy a drinks package which can reduce the cost of your expenses.

The ship is the five-star Koningsdam, which offers two swimming pools, a theater, a tennis court, renowned spa treatments, movies under the stars, a basketball court, an arcade, a casino and much more. . The “Pinnacle” class ship also allows guests to create their own blend of wines from a selection of red wines from a single vineyard.

Hawaii offers an array of natural gems to explore on each of the islands as well as a plethora of places to dine, shop and catch shows. From the summit of Mauna Kea to the massive and accessible populations of manta rays, from the rich history of Lahaina to the magnificent beach of Waikiki, the islands exude tropical beauty.

You can book your cruise with Holland America Line in line.
