Four youths arrested for murder of tour guide in Udaipur | Jaipur News
Udaipur: In a major breakthrough, Udaipur police arrested four young people for the murder of a 30-year-old tour guide.
Anurag Patwa aka Janu worked as a tour guide in Delhi while his family resided in Udaipur.
On Wednesday morning, his body was found in an isolated location on Kodiyat Road below the area of the Nai Police Station.
Police could not identify the body because the killers took away his cell phone, purse and other personal belongings.
Later, when his photo was posted on social media, the body was identified by some of his acquaintances and the family was notified.
“The father of the deceased told us that Janu had come to Udaipur two days ago. Tuesday night he was sitting in his car until late at night and listening to music. Subsequently, he disappeared. The family also told us that Janu had been threatened by some people as part of a loan taken out a long time ago, ”another SP Anant Kumar told reporters.
Police interviewed all suspects, but none were found involved in the crime.
A special team led by dySP Prem Dhande, Girva Circle, Nai SHO Mukesh Soni, Surajpole SHO Ram Sumer was formed which brought together all the history leaflets of the city.
During questioning, a certain Alfez Mohammed (20), resident of the Malla Talai region, confessed to the murder with his friends Soyal (19) and Pratap Bhati (19), both residents of Ambamata. , and Gaurav Jeengar (20) from the Nai region.
“The defendants said they were drug addicts and planned to loot someone on the road to Kodiyat. They were wandering around when they saw Janu inside his car. One of them approached him and asked for a cigarette, while others stabbed him several times in the chest and neck, ”said ASP.
The accused moved the body to the back seat and went to a secluded location where he dumped the body and escaped with all of his personal effects and the car.
