Dolly Parton shows some love for Lil Nas X!
The iconic “9 to 5” singer shared a photo on Instagram alongside Lil Nas X on Wednesday as she responded to her cover of her single “Jolene”, which he performed last week on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
“I was so excited when someone told me that Lil Nas X made my song ‘Jolene’. I had to find it and listen to it immediately… and it’s really, really good,” Parton 75 wrote. . “Of course I love him anyway. I was surprised and I am honored and flattered. In the award-winning show Ted lasso, the main character, Ted Lasso, played by Jason Sudeikis, leaves tickets for the football team to another character named Roy Kent, known for his temper, by the names of female country stars, including Parton, in tribute to these women.
